With the introduction of our Slow Cooker, Royal VKB embraces the latest trend in the kitchen: slow cooking. Fresh ingredients are put in the Slow Cooker without the need for oil as the slow and gentle cooking process itself tenderises the ingredients allowing their full flavours to come out. All the original vitamins, minerals and flavours are fully preserved during this method of cooking. Once the Slow Cooker has been placed in the oven, the chef can then relax, their job is done!

The Slow Cooker can be used in two ways simply by turning it over: the white dish is very suitable for the preparation of meals for one person or side dishes whilst the larger terracotta bowl can be used for meals for 2-3 persons. Please note though that the terracotta part of the Slow Cooker must always be immersed in cold water for 10 minutes before filling it with any ingredients. Once filled the Slow Cooker can be placed straight into a cold oven and then be heated to a maximum of 230°C. Due to the porous nature of the terracotta material, the Slow Cooker is ideal for the preparation of stews. As the ceramic is moisture-retaining, steam is released while the dish heats up in the oven, it is this action that makes the use of oil redundant as the steam makes sure the dish is thoroughly cooked without drying-up or getting burnt.

The Slow Cooker comes with unique silicone rings on both the top and bottom halves providing the Slow Cooker with more stability and as well as acting as a trivet for the protection of the dinner table. This allows you to take the Slow Cooker straight from the oven to the table and then use it not only as a serving dish but also to eat from.

The Slow Cooker is made of stoneware material and packed in an attractive full colour gift box with a recipe manual for some delicious meals.
