The mono-filio teapot has a vertical stainless steel frame in which the glass bowl is suspended. mono has developed a process that allows the frame to made of one single piece, thus eliminating all soldering spots. It makes the preparation of tea a spectacle to behold - through a background of glass, metal and light tealeaves reveal their aroma in suspended animation. This is reminiscent of the classic tea ceremony that is marked by simplicity and serentiy. "Less is more", said Sen Rikyu, the 16th cenury Grand Master of the tea ceremony. Graceful and restrained in its appearance the mono-filio teapot is the centerpiece of a contemporary, Western version of the tea ceremony.
