Design company Menu’s new organic garden lamps look as if they could have come from exotic cultures under distant skies. In reality they
are the result of a sophisticated form of ‘body language’ inspired by classic natural materials.
As if created by nature
Designer Pernille Vea has given the oil lamps an organic form that makes them an attractive addition in garden settings. They look fantastic - placed on the ground in small clusters – where they truly appear to be a creation of nature itself.
The organic oil lamps are made from terracotta fired at high temperatures – a glazed terracotta in charcoal grey. The frostproof material
in nature’s own nuances is ideal for use in outdoor settings, were the lamp will normally be placed.
The upper part of the lamp is fitted with a wick holder in polished stainless steel, with the oil holder concealed inside the lamp.
