New design intensifies the flame on effective oil lamps
The design company Menu’s new oil lamp series sharing the name of Lighthouse are all supplied with a newly developed oil burner to
really light up the night.
A fantastic bonfire
“This oil lamp doesn’t burn with just a little flame, it burns like a fantastic bonfire!” exclaims the designer Christian Bjørn.
Furthermore, the Lighthouse oil lamps have a unique filling system that makes it possible to fill the oil from above, so there’s no need
to take the lamp apart.
A real ambience setter
Christian Bjørn took the inspiration for his new lamp series from the Scandinavian summer twilight, contrasting the gentle forms of the
white porcelain with the intense, vibrant light. With its long stretches of coastline, Scandinavia has a rich supply of lighthouses to show
the way in the night. The effective Lighthouse oil lamps evoke pictures of people on voyages and stories of far-flung places. Lighthouse
is thus a real ambience setter that can be used outdoors all year round.
Lighthouse oil lamps come in four sizes, 9.7 in, 14.8 in, 20.7 in, and 26.6 in.
