The new Globe from the design company Menu comes in two versions: A classic design on a base and a hanging version – both of which can be detached from their mounting to be studied up close. You will get a totally new perspective on how the world fits together when you are sitting with it in your hands looking at a round globe instead of a flat map.
One of the globes hangs out from the wall or down from the ceiling on a stainless steel magnetic mounting which can easily be detached from the magnet. The other one sits on a more traditional solid stainless steel globe base. On this model, you simply pull the globe upwards and loosen the rods going through the centre.
