The lamp shade is created by means of a high tech veneeering process. The shade consists of 20 pieces of triangular shaped interlocking pieces which are approximately 11.25" in diameter. Not only does this enable it for easy packaging and shipping, but it also acts like a puzzle where you could make your own shape. You can actually make two lamps using 10 pieces in each (8 watt max) or just one round lampshade (14 watt fluorescent bulb or 60 watt incandescent).
The wiring unit is not included.
